30 Days of Writing: Beginning
Beginnings had never quite been difficult for Laraine, for whatever reason that may be. She found, that with an air of confidence and an stroke of humor, that she could draw people to herself with a fair amount of ease. All it took was kindness and a laugh that seemed to resonate somewhere inside of people, and Laraine wove her way into the memory of every person she encountered. But then she turned her head, hid her face, and with that it went blank. To herself she was a cardboard cutout– nothing more than a façade. She moves constantly from person to person, never willing to let them discover the man behind the curtain.
