Rather than being concerned with all of the other repercussions of potentially losing power, my father was apparently most worried about the fact that we would be stuck in a house without any brownies and not be able to make any. So this morning he, a roughly 50 year old businessman, went and made brownies by himself. They are delicious (I can vouch for this personally), and he is very proud.  I can say with total honesty that I have never doubted that this man and I are related.
